Canadian Council on Health Services Accreditation (CCHSA) plays a unique role in health service delivery by assisting health service organizations, across Canada and internationally, to examine and improve the quality of care and service they provide to their clients.
They provide an accreditation program that is based on national standards developed and updated by experts in the field, peer review, and knowledge exchange. Through self-assessment and external evaluation, this accreditation program helps drive improvements in health care. THE CHALLENGE
CCHSA presents various online surveys to organizations undergong the accreditation program. The survey creation process was manual and the
IT team created a web site for each of these surveys. The objective was to create a survey generation infrastructure that would allow research associates at CCHSA to specify the survey questions and the answer types and automatically generate the complete web-site for the survey. THE SOLUTION
Avigna Systems designed and developed this complex functionality in a relatively small time span. An administration tool was developed that presented the necessary user interfaces that allow the CCHSA personnel to create and manage survey projects containing the survey information, survey categories, survey questions, answer types for each question, etc. Once all the information is specified, the tool creates a set of ASP.NET pages. The Survey Runtime was developed that provided all the necessary business logic, custom controls and database IO components. This
Survey Runtime is used by the generated ASP.NET pages to provide the core components in the survey website. The Survey Infrastructure was developed that provided all the necessary website infrastructure to organize and present multiple active online surveys. This infrastructure also provided for components that managing survey users provide web-site security, etc. THE VALUE
